AU: Strengthening the public-private partnership to achieve the development ambitions of the continent

The African Union (AU) on Saturday reaffirmed the crucial importance of strengthening the partnership between African policymakers and the private sector for the implementation of Agenda 2063, the 50-year development agenda of the African continent.

Calling on African policymakers and the private sector, the 55-member pan-African group has also announced its intention to host the African Private Sector Forum next November with the aim of strengthening cooperation to ensure the success of the ambitious Agenda 2063.

This year’s edition of the African Private Sector Forum is expected to attract more than 300 participants including private sector players and investors from all five regions of the continent, as well as investors from China, Turkey, the United States, and the United States. other regions, the statement said.

The Pan-African bloc organizes the Private Sector Continental Forum to stimulate the critical role that the private sector is expected to play in transforming Africa’s economies and the implementation of Agenda 2063, especially its contribution to the reduction of poverty through investment and job creation.
