Automotive factories « must achieve an integration rate of 15% », said Minister of Industry and Mines, Djamila Tamazirt, on the sidelines of the opening of the 2019/2020 school year on Wednesday in Bordj Bou Arreridj.

The increase in the integration rate by operators in this sector who are « all in their third year of production allows the emergence of an industrial fabric of SMEs, develop this activity and move towards export » , she said.

The interest, said Djamila Tamazirt, will be carried, from next year, to certain sensitive sectors including agri-food, textile, steel and cement industry « to diversify the national economy excluding hydrocarbons » , stressing that to achieve this goal, the State has launched a number of investments for the creation, across the country, of port bases meeting international standards.

The minister also assured that a « final solution is being found to the problem of careers » whose operators do not respect the conditions of environmental protection and generate nuisance to local populations who expressed their anger on several occasions like the Mansourah region.

She added, in this connection, that an interministerial commission (industry, interior, environment, water resources) was installed at the level of the government to examine this « thorny » file and a roadmap was established « for interventions effective measures that remove barriers and find final solutions.

Regarding the industrial groups whose assets were frozen and the owners arrested, Djamila Tamazirt recalled that directors were appointed to ensure the continuity of production, preserve job positions and let justice do its work.

At the beginning of her visit to Bordj Bou Arreridj, the minister inaugurated a primary school in Akhrouf, the chief town of wilaya, named chahid Alaoui Ramdhan, before presiding over the operation of distributing school trousseaux to schoolchildren from poor families then to visit Aïssa Hamitouch High School.
